GAM-Solars Villages List
GAM-Solar Energy and Engineering has been working in The Gambia since 1998 to provide villages and their residents access to electricity and water. This with great success. GAM-Solar Energy is the market leader in The Gambia for a reason. We have compiled a list of villages that have been helped by GAM-Solar Energy. In the (near) future, many more villages and their residents will be given the much-needed access to basic needs such as water and electricity through GAM-Solar Energy.

Western Division of The Gambia
Since June 1993, villages in the western part of Gambia (Western Division) have been given access to water and/or electricity. Partly due to the actions of GAM-Solar Energy. We are talking about 15 villages with a total number of inhabitants globally estimated at 40.000 inhabitants. A number of villages have had several upgrades in recent years. The most common reason for an upgrade is population growth. Below is a table in which we have put down the relevant information

North Bank Region
Since June 1994, villages in the North part of Gambia (North Bank Region) have been given access to water and/or electricity. Partly due to the actions of GAM-Solar Energy. We are talking about 24 villages with a total number of inhabitants globally estimated at 65.000 inhabitants. A number of villages have had several upgrades in recent years. The most common reason for an upgrade is population growth. Below is a table in which we have put down the relevant information

Lower River Division is one of the five administrative divisions of the Gambia. Its capital is Mansa Konko.

Central River is the largest of the Gambia’s five administrative divisions. The capital is Janjanbureh (formerly Georgetown), on MacCarthy Island. The largest settlement is Bansang, with an estimated population in 2008 of 8,381.
